Customs has decided to restore the facility of acceptance of an undertaking in lieu of bond from 8th May, 2021 till 30th June, 2021.
The undertaking furnished in lieu of the bond should be duly replaced with a proper bond by 15th July, 2021.
The following persons may avail this relaxation:
Government/Public Sector Undertakings (Central/State/UT Govts. or Administrations and their undertakings)
Manufacturer/Actual User importer
Authorised Economic Operators
Status holder
All importers availing warehouse facility u/s 59 of the Customs Act 1962
